The OpenPLC programmable logic controllers (PLC) are intended for engineers and hobbyists with common technical literacy and require no special skills. They are suitable for logical control of sequential, combinational and continuous processes in industrial and domestic environments and in real time. The general idea behind OpenPLC is to be cheap, flexible, reliable, simple and open source. It is a continuous work in progress, intended to be improved by the community of its users who can contribute ideas and solutions.
